Navy mainsail cover/stowing system for sailing vessels with a 13.5' Foot boom w/Lazy Jack manufactured at a local Loft here in Central Florida (Sails by Morgan). Made of UV resistant Sunbrella Fabric and assembled with UV resistant Tarana thread along with a UV resistant marine grade zipper and is built to last. The stowing system was used on our Catalina 320 #441 for one year. The mainsail stowing system has a zipper closure running along the top of the cover. When you're ready to deploy the mainsail just unzip the top of the cover and attach the main halyard to the headboard, turn into the wind and hoist the sail. The sail deploys out of the top of the sail cover. The cover then lays up against the mainsail while sailing. Dousing the mainsail is just as easy, head up into the wind, release the main halyard and drop the main into the cover, remove the halyard and zip the cover closed. The cover must be sewn to the foot of the mainsail. A Topping Lift is required to use the system properly. Additional hardware (two small blocks) and two small eye's installed on the mast are required to support the operation of the Lazy Jack's. This price does not include sewing of the cover to your sail or installation of the mainsail stowing system on your vessel. Any sail loft rigger can do this work. This system new was 1200.00. Asking price for the mainsail /cover stowing system with Lazy Jacks is $550.00 plus shipping. This is an excellent buy if you like lazy jack systems. I returned to the Dutchman.
